Integrated Washbasin Collection - oly

This project presents a collection of washbasins made from a solid surface material named Ocritech. The collection is developed in two main typologies — integrated basins and countertop basins — each available in multiple dimensional variants. The washbasins are seamlessly integrated into a countertop designed to be installed on a base cabinet available in two different depths. The countertop washbasins feature a subtle perimeter rim that rests on the surface, allowing a clear distinction between basin and top while maintaining material continuity. Conceived primarily for domestic laundry rooms, the collection redefines a traditionally functional space, introducing a renewed aesthetic value and elevating it beyond its purely utilitarian role. A distinctive feature of the design is a movable surface that functions as the basin bottom when the laundry function is not required. When needed, the surface can be repositioned to create an inclined plane, facilitating hand washing. In addition, a version without the movable bottom was developed for use in conventional bathrooms, where laundry functionality is not required. Through its material continuity, functional adaptability and refined detailing, the collection offers a versatile solution that bridges domestic utility and contemporary design.
